How it works
Facts
A solar panel combines with a thermal back sheet and becomes a solar hybrid.
Cold flow from geothermal bore hole/energy storage or the cold side of the heat pump is sent through the thermal back sheet of the solar panel and we now have a Cold Solar Hybrid.
The cold flow cools the Solar Hybrid and at the same time absorbs the excess heat.
The Solar Hybrid works even when the sun is down and then acts as an air/water heat exchanger and thus delivers energy around the clock all the way down to 0 degrees
In both of the above mentioned cases, the energy collected is returned to the geothermal hole/energy storage which is heated in spring, summer and autumn and can then be used during the winter.
Advantages
Longer life on solar panels when kept at a uniformly low temperature.
Longer life of heat pump thanks to better working temperature
A highly efficient way to save a wrecked geothermal bore hole/energy storage that has become too cold.
Low temperatures and low pressure systems provide easy pipe installation
Delivers up to 20% more electricity compared to a regular solar panel when it is cooled.
Up to 20% better heat pump performance
Scalable, works from villas to large residential properties and Hotels.
Easy installation
1. Preparation
Pipes of PEM tubing is prepared before the solar hybrids are put in place.
2. Connection
Pipes and hoses are easily put together with pushfit couplings
3. Result
Finished result of a Solar Hybrid roof.
